Why “Engage Strategies”?

Picking a business name is always a challenge. What will people understand from the new name? Will the name (and logo) invoke an image that accurately reflects the intention behind it all? Is it simple enough for people to understand and remember?

I wanted to find a name that would convey my belief in the importance of getting people actively interested, involved and talking about things that affect them.  I also wanted to indicate that my business was intended to help organizations be more effective in setting priorities and identifying effective approaches for reaching out and engaging people in meaningful ways.

In the end, the combination of “engage” and “strategies” seemed to reflect these thoughts the most.

ENGAGE:
~ To attract and hold the attention of; engross.
~ To draw into; involve.
~ To interlock or cause to interlock; mesh.
~ To involve oneself or become occupied; participate.

STRATEGIES:
~ Particular long-term plans for success.

ENGAGE STRATEGIES:
~ The design and use of participatory and common sense approaches to actively connect people with what matters most.
